Oreo Cheesecake Recipe

What’s better than an Oreo? An Oreo made into a cheesecake! Get the complete (and simple!) recipe here!

How to make an Oreo cheesecake:

Ingredients:

Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups Oreo cookie crumbs (about 23 crushed Oreos)
  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter

Filling

  • 3 packages of cream cheese at room temperature (8 ounce packages)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 container of sour cream at room temperature (8 ounce container)
  • 6 Oreos (for the batter)
  • 1 cup of butter

Optional:

  • 9 Oreos to top the cake

Instructions:

**9 inch pan is recommended**

Crust:

Mix the melted butter with the Oreo crumbs and press it into a pan, and make sure there are no holes.. (Make sure you leave the filling in the cookies when you crush them.)

Filling:

Make sure all the ingredients are at room temperature before starting! Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees. Beat cream cheese and 1 cup of butter until it is light and fluffy. (keep your mixer on a low setting) Gradually add sugar and continue to beat cream cheese until it is mixed through. Add eggs and beat until blended. Add vanilla, salt, and flour into the bowl continue to beat the mixture. Finally, add in the sour cream, and 6 coarsely chopped Oreos.

Pour the mixture into the pan, and crumble the 9 Oreos on top of the cake. Bake for 1 hour. The cheesecake will be done when it slightly  jiggles when the pan is moved. If the cheesecake is very jiggly, cook for another 15 minutes. Let it cool for 24 hours in the refrigerator.
